Childhood Asthma
Asthma is the most common serious chronic illness in children, with 7 million children diagnosed with the disease, according to the American Lung Association. Some symptoms of asthma include wheezing, a persistent cough, frequent respiratory infections, chest tightness and shortness of breath. A child with any of these symptoms should be evaluated for asthma.
